Cairney really worth 20 million and how will he get ahead of arnie lanzini and a fit Antonio in the team? That’s a big chunk of a budget gone when we will probably need to spend on two goalkeepers two strickers a defensive midfielder and a centre back?

We need to replace Kouyate and Noble who have been awful.
Whether Cairney is the answer in central midfield I don’t know but if those two play next season we will go down.

Cairney is a very good footballer though not the quickest. But Brooking was not a speed merchant either and he was one of West Ham's greatest midfielders.

McDonald is the one who makes Fulham tick, and he is even slower than Cairney.

Made of point of watching him a few times since January as we were linked with him.

Good young English player, which probably means his price will be vastly inflated. Fulham will probably want something in the region of £30m for him, which will be out of our price range for an unproven player.

We need a more experience pro at the moment, someone that can actually keep the ball
